The Maroon & Gold Room is a showplace for entertaining athletic boosters and other special friends of the University. It is used for receptions and serves as a special dignitary hosting area for university events such as commencement and all athletic home events. It has become the social focal point for athletic events and special programs hosted in Strahan Coliseum.

Having opened in February 2004, the nearly 7,500-square-foot complex houses offices for the Director of Athletics and all administrative staff. The new complex brought the athletic administration together in one location and made them readily accessible to the public. The administration offices in the new complex is adjacent to the sparkling new 2,500-square-foot Maroon & Gold Room.
