Adam Hudson has been a Bobcat since 1998 when he came to Texas State as a freshman hurdler. This season marks his second as a full time member of the track and field coaching staff.
As an assistant coach for the program, Hudson primarily works with athletes competing in the decathlon and helps with hurdlers. He also assists with recruiting, travel, fundraising and home meets.
Texas State's Katya Kostetskaya captured the 400 meter hurdle title at the 2006 Southland Conference Championship in an NCAA Regional-qualifying time.
As a student-athlete, Hudson led the Bobcats as team captain in 2001-2002 and was All-Conference seven times during his career. He is a former Texas State record holder in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.12. Hudson was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that ranks fourth on the all-time list. He also ran on the school-record holding sprint medley relay in 1999.
Hudson, who hails from Bay City, graduated with a degree in Chemistry in 2003. He served as a volunteer coach at Texas State from 2002-2003 and in 2005. Since graduation, he has taught chemistry and coached football and track at a local high school.
