Attended Texas State a year prior to gaining his academic eligibility and joining the program as a player for the 2006-07 season ... received Texas State's Jeff Award which is annually presented to the best all-around defensive player ... "Brandon is a big, athletic guard. He is a blue-collar player who makes hustle plays and runs the floor well. His athleticism should flourish in our system. Was one of our on-ball defenders last year and expect nothing less of him this year. He is a self-made player who last year came and impacted a Division I program because of his hungry attitude. Four or five years ago that wasn't even on the road map for him. His role as a leader should expand this year. He has a very infectious personality." -- Doug Davalos.
