Had an excellent spring ... needs to gain strength and size but improved every day in the spring ... joined the Texas State program from Texas A&M-Kingsville where he was red-shirted his only year in the program ... moved to tight end from offensive tackle during the 2007 season.
Foster High School: Was named First-Team All-Area as well as selected Second-Team All-District 24-4A as a senior in 2005 ... played tight end for bi-district championship team which posted a 10-2 record ... prep coach was Mark Wiatrek ... also played first base and pitched for Foster's baseball team.
Personal: Son of John and Linda Brooks ... born Sept. 24, 1986 in Houston ... exercise and sports science major who is focusing on health and fitness management.
