This fall will mark only the senior's fifth football season ... high school basketball player who played just one season of prep football before two seasons of competition in the junior college ranks ... very talented athlete who does some things well but needs to continue to improve on a couple other aspects of his game heading into his senior season ... could be a very good player for the Bobcats with improvement in technique as well as gaining more discipline in his game.
2006: Started all 11 games at right tackle for the Bobcats as a junior ... member of starting front five which blocked for an offense which averaged 351.64 yards of offense per game, second in the Southland Conference ... total offense average was also 38th among FCS programs ... Texas State also ranked No. 3 in scoring offense ... `Cats averaged 201 yards passing and 150 yards passing.
Navarro College: Joined the Texas State squad from Navarro College where he was a two-time honorable mention selection of the Southwest Junior College Football Conference all-league team ... junior collage coach was Chuck Lawrence.
Ozen High School: As mentioned above, played only one season of prep football at Ozen ... high school coach was Thomas Brooks.
Personal: Son of Harold and Debbie Dayse ... born March 4, 1986 in Beaumont ... criminal justice major at Texas State.
