Red-shirt freshman was a pleasant surprise during his first spring with the Bobcats ... fast wideout who has good hands ... needs to become stronger so he can hold his own blocking ... had three receptions for 24 yards including a touchdown catch in Texas State's Maroon & Gold Spring Classic.
Bay City High School: Selected the Victoria Advocate's All-Around Player of the Year as a senior ... also a unanimous first-team All-District 24-4A selection at both quarterback and defensive back ... also named first-team all-district as a quarterback junior year ... passed for 1700 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 550 yards and another five scores as a senior ... as a junior passed for 1600 yards and 14 touchdowns ... rushed for 400 yards and had three touchdowns on the ground junior season ... was named second-team all-district sophomore season playing receiver ... caught 21 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns sophomore season ... also played wide receiver as a freshman and was an honorable mention pick on the all-district squad ... prep coach was Alan Cherry.
