Transferred to Texas State from Utah State prior to the 2005 season, went through spring drills in 2006 and saw action last fall as a wide receiver for the Bobcats ... struggled early in '06 while learning the Texas State offense and that spring was his first playing receiver at the collegiate level ... this past spring busted his tail and had one of the best sets of drills of any of the receivers ... one of the most consistent receivers in the spring catching the ball and making plays.
2006: Co-leader on the team with three touchdown receptions ... caught nine passes for 128 yards ... in first career game at Texas State had two receptions for 16 yards ... following week at Kentucky caught his first touchdown pass, a four-yarder to help account for Texas State's only points against the SEC opponent ... had two receptions for 18 yards against Stephen F. Austin ... caught a 21-yard pass to move the ball inside the McNeese 10-yard line during the second quarter of the Bobcats' game in Lake Charles, La. ... caught a pair of touchdown passes (26 and 28 yards) in Texas State's win against Southeastern Louisiana.
Utah State: Played defensive back at Utah State ... registered one tackle in eight games for the Aggies.
Collins HS: Selected Second-Team All-Greater Houston at quarterback by the Houston Chronicle ... also shared district MVP honors ... as a junior was a second-team all-district pick as well as Second-Team All-Greater Houston as a wide receiver ... also played basketball and baseball.
