  • Texas State's 52 points was the most in a Southland Conference game since defeating McNeese State 54-27 in 2004. The game marked the first time the Bobcats scored 50 on an opponent since defeating Georgia Southern 50-35 in a first-round game of the 2005 NCAA FCS Playoffs.

  • For the second time this season, Texas State had a pair of 100-yard rushers in the same game. Karrington Bush led the Bobcats with 15 carries for 187 yards and one touchdown. Alvin Canady had 22 carries for 182 yards in a score.

  • Bush rushed for 100+ yards for the third time this season. The freshman now has 617 yards on the year. He had 136 yards in the season opener against Cal Poly and rushed for 105 yards against South Dakota State.

  • Cameron Luke almost outscored Stephen F. Austin. The junior from Klein caught four touchdown passes. He had seven receptions for 152 yards including TD catches of 15, 25, 20 and 42 yards.

  • Reserve quarterback Clint Toon has now thrown touchdown passes in the Bobcats' last three games. Toon was 2-for-2 for 25 yards against SFA, tossing a 20-yard TD pass to Luke midway through the fourth quarter.

  • Texas State's record books do not indicate a single-game record for touchdown receptions. Luke however, is closing in on the season TD reception record of 11 set by David Vela in 1981.

  • Texas State preserved the sanctity of homecoming with its fourth straight homecoming victory. The streak started with a 17-14 win over Stephen F. Austin in 2004. The Bobcats are now 42-28-1 in homecoming games.

  • Jervoress Crenshaw picked off his third pass of the season while Daniel Varvel registered his first interception of the season after a five-pick season as a junior. Texas State's third interception was by linebacker Freddy Paige who began the year at defensive end.

  • In addition to seven tackles, including one for lost yardage, sophomore cornerback Will Thompson returned punts for the Bobcats. He had three returns for 38 yards but had a 60-yarder for a score called back by a holding penalty.

  • Stephen F. Austin freshman quarterback set Bobcat Stadium records for completions (41), attempts (59) and yards (508) in the Lumberjack loss. He set school records for completions and attempts while his 508 yards ranked fourth-most in school history and the most since 1989.

  • Texas State was flagged for a season-high 11 penalties for 125 yards last week at Central Arkansas. The Bobcats were only penalized three times for 25 yards against SFA. The Lumberjacks had 14 penalties for 125 yards.
