2004-05 (FRESHMAN) - Jeana played and started in all 28 games last season for the Bobcats, averaging 29 minutes, 5.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a freshman ... Shot 72% from the free-throw line and 32.4% from three-point range ... Reached double-digit scoring six times on the year, with a season-best 15 points coming against Sam Houston State on Jan. 22 ... Grabbed a season-high four rebounds on six different occasions ... Had a season-high five asissts at Louisiana-Monroe on Jan. 15 ... Went 4-for-7 from the three-point stripe in a 14-point performance against Northwestern State on Jan. 20 ... Played a season-high 36 minutes Dec. 4 at Texas A&M ... Led the team with 33 steals on the season.
HIGH SCHOOL - Her senior year Jeana averaged 21 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3 apg, and 2 spg, leading the team to 21-2 finish on the season...Jeana was selected as Gatorade's South Dakota's Player of the Year and AA Player of the Year her senior year...She currently holds the record for All-Time Leading Scorer at Mitchell HS...In her junior campaign Mitchell HS women's basketball team won the State AA Championships, where Jeana set two Tournament Records; 3's Scored in one game(6) and 3's in a Tournament (13) ...Three of Jeanna's four high school years, her team was Eastern South Dakota Conference Champions...Her freshmen, junior and senior years Hoffman was named to the All-State team.
PERSONAL - Jeana Hoffman was born in Mitchell, South Dakota to David and Coinne Hoffman on April 23, 1985...She has three older sisters and a twin, Heather(29), Kati(26), Sarah(23), and Jeana(19)... Jeana and Jenna are both basketball players with the Texas State Bobcats...They both considered University of South Dakota and University of Idaho before signing with Texas State...Jeana has not decided on a major.
