After making her debut with Texas State in 2005, Megan Ramey returns on the coaching staff for her third season as an assistant coach. Ramey received her United States Soccer Federation "B" coaching license.

Ramey's primary responsibility is working directly with goalkeepers, however she will also help more with defense this season. Off the field, Ramey serves as the recruiting coordinator and is in charge of daily soccer operations. Under the guidance of Ramey last season, goalkeeper Paige Perriraz ranked third in the Southland Conference in total saves, while posting a 6-3 record.

Ramey received her bachelor's degree from Western Michigan in 2002 with an emphasis in psychology and furthered her education with a master's from Washington College (Maryland) in 2005.

Ramey joined the Bobcats from Western Michigan in May 2005, after serving as the second assistant for one season. "I knew that Texas soccer was great and I wanted to get more into recruiting," Ramey said. "I knew coach Conner had good coaching experience and could really teach me a lot."

As an assistant coach at Western Michigan, Ramey trained goalkeepers, helped plan practices and recruited student athletes. During her stint at WMU, Ramey also coached at the club level, serving as the U-16 TKO head coach.

During her playing days, Ramey was a two-year starter at Western Michigan where she was named team captain, earned team MVP honors and was a first-team all-conference selection.

Ramey began her coaching career by working various soccer camps before entering college. She started by serving as the assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer for three seasons with the Pacesetter Soccer Club. Over the course of the past seven seasons, she has served as a goalkeeper coach at Western Michigan, Indiana University, Texas State, Middle States of America Soccer Camps and Joe Macknik's No.1 Goalkeeper Camp.
