Scott Ward is returning for his fourth season as volunteer assistant coach for the Bobcats and continues his work as the Director of Coaching for the New Braunfels Youth Soccer Program for both Select and Recreational soccer.

"Scott does a great job teaching how to get more numbers in the offense," Conner said. "He also helps to train and expand the knowledge of the offensive attack. I think he will help us get that punch back in our game."

Ward, a UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) "B" license holder, has spent the last seven years in Texas. He has helped develop many coaching programs, worked as Senior Program Coach with The Longhorn Soccer Club and served as a trainer with Hays Fusion and Lake Travis Elite.

Originally from Staffordshire, England, Ward's first American stint was in New England helping start the Rhode Island Olympic Development Program (ODP).

In England, Ward helped coach in the academy program of Aston Villa in the English Premiership. He began his coaching career at Burton College, where he led the boys' program to the finals of the British College Cup in his first year.

As a player, Ward had professional trials with club teams Birmingham City and Walsall before playing college soccer for Leeds University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree.
