Rough week...

Well our second week on the road was not nearly as good as the first. We lost to both Lamar and McNeese this weekend.

Lamar is surprisingly a very good team this year, and I think we underestimated them. They are still undefeated in conference. They had a really good setter who was hard to defend because we never knew where the ball was going. As a blocker, it was very difficult to make a decision and get to the hitter fast enough to get in front of her. We fought hard in the first three games, but Lamar just took over in the fourth.

McNeese was our first five-game match of the season. They have also improved a lot. We played okay, but we never seemed to get a good rhythm going at the crucial times. We just couldn't pull out a win in the end. It was disappointing to say the least.

Despite the games, we did have a little fun over the weekend. Our hotel in Beaumont was so nice and the beds were amazing. We spent a few hours at a mall there on Saturday before the game, and almost everyone left with a bag full of shirts.

Well that's all I've got for the week. Coming up, we've got three games! We leave Monday for Arlington to play UTA on Tuesday night, and then we're finally back home again on Thursday and Saturday for Central Arkansas and Northwestern. It'll be nice to have a gym full of OUR fans for a change. Hope to see you there!
